Friday Football Results: Goose Creek Wins 72-28

Hanahan kicked off the weekend with a 57-6 victory against Stall on Thursday night, bringing the Hawks record to 5-4 and ushering in the welcome return of star Chris Brown. Hanahan hosts Fort Dorchester for its last home game of the season next week.

Goose Creek sweeped the 7-AAAA region Friday. Wando is one of the first this season to find a way around Goose Creek's defense, but the Gators offense more than made up for it. The final score was 72-28. Goose Creek is now 8-1 heading into next week's final home game against Ashley Ridge.

It's hard to find air in the room when you're neighbor's with Goose Creek, but Stratford has had a strong season and kept it up with another win this week, sending West Ashley home with a loss. The final score was 17-7. With a 7-2 record, Stratford is on the road next week against James Island.

Cane Bay won its last game on the road Friday, besting Lake Marion 41-7. The Cobras (6-3) are at home next week, taking on Berkeley High for a round of Thursday Night Lights.
