Gandolfo Talks About Life After City Council

In Gazette feature, former councilman is ready to rest — mostly.

After 30 years in public service with the City of Goose Creek, former City Councilman Sal Gandolfo sat down with the Goose Creek Gazette for a look back.

Gandolfo served for 14 years on the city's Zoning Board of Appeals before four terms on Goose Creek City Council. He was defeated in a runoff election for a fifth term in April.

As he did with , Gandolfo spoke about his time on the council and the zoning board, shaping the way Goose Creek looks and the services it provides to residents.

But reporter Stefan Rogenmoser also asks about Gandolfo's plans for the future.

"I sat back and said maybe I'll run again in two years," he told the paper. "I said, nah, 30 years total between the two is enough. I want to go fishing and go sit on the Folly Beach pier."
