Goose Creek Baseball Kicks Off Tournament Action
11 and under boys in Tennessee for regional competition.

Update: Goose Creek wins first game against Bellevue, 11-7. Next game is Friday afternoon against West Raleigh.
First Report: Goose Creek Recreation's 11 and under all-stars begin competition Thursday in the Cal Ripkin Jr. Southeast Regional Tournament in Lewisburg, Tenn.
They'll kick off this afternoon at 1 p.m. against Bellevue, Tenn. After winning the state tournament, Goose Creek is the only South Carolina team represented. Other teams are from Tennessee, Florida, North Carolina and Virginia.Â

In other tournament news, the Goose Creek 10 and under softball team represented the state in the Babe Ruth Regional Tournament last week.

The state champions faced tough competition and lost in four games to Pitt and Union counties from North Carolina; Glen Allen, Va.; and Oviedo, Fla. Pitt County went on to win the tournament.
