Goose Creek Boys 3-0 in 10U Regionals

Two games Friday end with a big finish.

Goose Creek's 10U All-Star boys are 3-0 at the regional tournament in New Bern, N.C. After , the team had two games on Friday. Here's the report from Fiona Amaker:

"10U All-Star boys are 3-0 in Regional! During their 10:00 game this morning they played Ponte Verda, Florida.The final score was 3-1. Will McGuire was 2 for 3 at bat with 1 walk. Travis Lott was 2 for 3 at bat with 1 RBI. Jackson Price was 2 for 3 at  bat with 1 RBI. Our defense was solid, allowing only one run behind winning pitcher Josh Davis, who pitched a complete game.

"During the 3:30 game, they played Benton County, Tenn. The final score was 10-3. Will McGuire was 2 for 3 at bat, with two walks and two RBI's. Walker Howard was 2 for 4 at bat, with two RBI's. Jackson Price was 2 for 4 at bat with one RBI. Josh Davis was 2 for 2 at bat with 4 RBI's. Riggs Howard was 2 for 4 at bat.

"In the final inning, with only one out, one man on 3rd a solid hit was made by Benton County to our own centerfielder, Riggs Howard. Riggs caught the ball and threw to home where catcher Will McGuire made the final tag ending the game with a big double play! Starting pitcher Will McGuire went two innings with Jackson Price coming in as relief pitcher and winning the game."
