Goose Creek Dollar General Robbed

Goose Creek Police are investigating an early morning robbery at .

Officers were called at 8 a.m. in reference to a man wearking dark clothing, a hooded shirt and a ski mask who approached an employee while she was opening the store and forced his way in.

According to police spokesman John Grainger, the unknown suspect directed the employee to deactivate the store’s alarm and told her to open the safe.

The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed sum of cash. The employee did not report the presentation of a weapon or any threats made by the suspect, Grainger said.

A police canine tracked the suspect a short distance before the track went cold. Investigators were still on the scene.
