Goose Creek High Teacher a State Finalist

Congratulations to Goose Creek High Spanish teacher Carla Hogue, one of three finalists for the S.C. Sigma Delta Pi Spanish Teacher of the Year award. Hogue is the only teacher from the Lowcountry among the finalists and she is the first Berkeley County finalists in more than a decade.

According to Sigma Delta Pi, the award was created “to promote and recognize outstanding teaching of the Hispanic language and culture.” The winner will be announced in November in Charleston
