Goose Creek Holiday Kick-Off Thursday
Light display, children's parade and cookies with Santa.

Goose Creek will be lighting up the night and getting children excited about the holiday with the city's official kick-off to the holidays.
The city will turn on its first holiday lights display around the lake at the municipal center. The show will run from 6-10 p.m. through Jan. 1.
To celebrate the new Christmas tradition, the city's Recreation Department will be hosting "Goose Creek Christmas" on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the lake.Â

Kids and families will get a look at the new light displays with a children's parade around the lake led by Mayor Michael Heitzler.
Afterwards, Santa will arrive and hot chocolate and cookies will be served.

If you can't make it Thursday, free hayrides around the lake will be available from 6-8 p.m. each Friday until Christmas.
