Update: Friday Concert Cancelled

Update, 3:10 p.m.: The City of Goose Creek has cancelled Friday night's Sounds of Summer concert event due to inclement weather.

First Story: The Sounds of Summer concert series dances right along Friday night with the Port Authority Band. 

The free weekly event runs from 6-9 p.m. on the lawn at the Crowfield Golf and Country Club through June 29.

The Port Authority Band offers eclectic covers, like Bill Withers' "Use Me," Maroon 5's "This Love" and Kenny Chesney's "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems."

Event sponsors include Ryland Homes, NBSC, LowCountry Roofing and Exteriors, Coldwell Banker United, Realtors and Goose Creek Heating and Air.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair for seating. Pets, coolers and alcohol are not permitted. For more information call the Goose Creek Community Center at 569-4242 or visit Goose Creek Recreation.
