Goose Creek Instructor Talks Parkour After Bridge Incident
Jason Simpson says climbing under a bridge isn't parkour — it's just "stupid."

After two Charleston parkour enthusiasts, James Chad Tomberlin, 21, and Kahrall Arkeen Wright, 18, tried to due stunts on the underside of the Ravenel Bridge earlier this week, local media came to Goose Creek in search of an expert.
Parkour involves running, jumping, vaulting and flipping over obstacles. That could be roofs, rails, stairs, ledges and anything else you might literally run into or climb over. That does not include a bridge.

The Post and Courier's Allyson Bird spoke with Jason Simpson, the owner of Goose Creek Gymnastics and a parkour instructor at the Casey Community Center.
"When you climb up the side of a bridge and get down under it, you’re not doing parkour at that point," Simpson told the P&C. "You’re just doing something stupid."
