Goose Creek Man Arrested in Stolen Vehicle Case

North Charleston Police find evidence of seven stolen cars at towing lot.

A visit Tuesday to a North Charleston towing lot regarding a possible stolen vehicle uncovered seven cars or parts of cars listed as missing.

Officers identified the vehicle, a black Navigator, and then found a Dodge Charger that had been listed as stolen in Sandy Springs, Ga. A search warrant was issued.

Other cars listed as stolen that were found on the lot included a Buick Park Avenue and a Toyota Camry. They also found engines for a Cadillac Deville and Chevy Malibu, as well as four car doors and a tailgate for a Chevrolet.

The owner of Economy Towing, Herman Leon Failey, 51, of Goose Creek and North Charleston, was arrested and faces seven counts of possession of a stolen motor vehicle and three counts of property crime enhancement, according to the North Charleston Police Department.

Failey turned himself in Thursday and will have a bond hearing Friday morning. The investigation is ongoing.
