Goose Creek Man Injured in Wednesday Shooting
Two unknown suspects involved in early Wednesday incident in North Charleston.

North Charleston police are investigating an early morning shooting off Ashley Phosphate Road.
The victim, Tywann Diondrey Nelson, of Goose Creek, was reportedly shot in the thigh. He was transported to Medical University of South Carolina.
Officers responded to 7583 Hunters Ridge Lane at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday regarding a possible shooting.

They found Nelson on the floor in an upstairs bedroom. Officers noted he was extremely calm. A 9mm shell casing was found on the stairs.

The victim told police that two unknown black men knocked on the door, asking where "Daren" was. According to the victim, he told the men he didn't know and tried to close the door, but the men busted into the house.
Nelson said he attempted to run up the stairs when one of the suspects fired a shot from a handgun. The suspects then fled the scene.
The first suspect was described as 6 foot tall, 320 lbs. with a goatee wearing a dark knit hat, with a short sleeve shirt over a long sleeve shirt and black pants. The second suspect was approximately 5'6", 160 lbs. wearing a black shirt and black pants.
