Goose Creek Mayor Declares March Red Cross Month

Proclamation recognized Red Cross contributions, and contributions of volunteers, blood donors and money donors.

Goose Creek Mayor Michael Heitzler has declared March “American Red Cross Month” in recognition of the outstanding services provided by the Carolina Lowcounty Chapter of the American Red Cross.  The proclamation also recognizes those who contribute to the mission of the Red Cross, through time, money or blood donation.

The American Red Cross is asking you to join them in providing help and hope to people in need.  Citizens can help with a gift of your time, your blood donation, or your financial gift.   Families and communities depend on the Red Cross in times of need and because it is not a government agency, the Red Cross depends on the support of the American people to continue its humanitarian work.  In the past year alone, the Carolina Lowcountry Chapter has assisted 1,171 individuals, distributed 36,090 units of blood to local hospitals and trained 19,996 people in lifesaving skills.
