Goose Creek Motorcyclist Dies in I-26 Accident

A Goose Creek man died in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 26 late Saturday morning, according to several local reports, including The Post and Courier.

Robert Lovell, of Goose Creek, was riding in the westbound lanes with a group of about 30 other motorcyclists near mile marker 187 when he drove off the road into the median strip, striking several trees, Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury said.

Salisbury told the P&C that its believed that Lovell had a heart attack prior to the motorcycle accident.
