Goose Creek Victim of Locker Room Heist

Goose Creek basketball players want to know what happened to their stuff during a tournament game in Orangeburg this week. 

After their first loss of the season, the Goose Creek team returned to the locker room and found their bags had been pillaged, according to The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg.

Along with the well-being of the Goose Creek team, Orangeburg-Wilkinson principal Gregory McCord expressed concern about such an incident tarnishing the image of the O-W Sweet 16 and whether it would dissuade other participants.

"This tournament is rich in tradition to the community," he said. "We did everything we could to ensure that something like this wouldn't happen. Unfortunately, someone saw fit to find a way to maneuver the system and they made a devious move."
