Goose Creek's Smalls Commits to S.C. State
School reports verbal commitment from Gators senior.
Goose Creek's senior fullback Virgil Smalls, a powerhouse performer in the Gators' championship season, appears ready to head to South Carolina State University.Â
The Orangeburg Times and Democrat reports that the local player made the decisions during a recent visit, along with Richmond County's Antoine Crouch.
Both Smalls and Crouch were among the two newest verbal commitments to the Bulldogs from this past weekend.

The paper also noted Smalls success on the field, including 40 touchdowns this season.
Earlier this season Coach Chuck Reedy told the Post and Courier that Smalls had appeared ready for the University of South Carolina.
