Hanahan High Search Nets Knives, Ammunition

Police looking for drugs in cars found school violations, instead.

Vehicle searches this week at Hanahan High School netted several sharp objects, ammunition and some empty beer cans.

Due to recent complaints of illegal drugs on campus, Hanahan Police put a K-9 unit to work on Wednesday in the student parking lot, sniffing around vehicles for anything suspicious.

Cars that caught the dog's attention didn't turn up anything illegal, but there were a few confiscated items.
