Hanahan Wins State Wrestling Title

For second year, Hawks top AA division.

The Hanahan Hawks wrestling team won the Class AA state wrestling title for the second year in a row, besting Emerald High School on Saturday, according to the Post and Courier.

The score was tied 12-12 after four matches, but the Hawks pulled away and clinched the win when J.J. Johnson pinned his opponent in about 30 seconds in the 120-pound division.

Goose Creek and Stratford finished their seasons in the second round in the AAAA tournament. Cane Bay was eliminated in the first round of AAA action.
