Hanahan's Brown Commits to Notre Dame

Injured star player makes his decision.

The short-term future may be unclear for Hanahan's Chris Brown, but the player's long-term prospects are taking shape. This weekend, he settled on the Fighting Irish.

ESPN noted the wide receiver visited Indiana this weekend to see Notre Dame's win against Michigan State on Saturday and he committed to the football program Sunday.

Brown late last month, keeping him off the field for a few weeks while it heals. At the beginning of the season, The Post and Courier pointed out the senior's solid performance last year and ranked him third in their top 10 players for 2011.

The Herald-Journal reported last month that Brown was leaning toward USC for a chance to run track and play football, but his father told the paper they were going to keep looking.

"It's highly probable he will be going to USC but my mission is to show him other places before he signs," Brown’s father Joe Brown said.
