Heat Advisory Likely Through the Weekend

Goose Creek and Hanahan are at the center of some of the hottest temps in the Lowcountry today as the area faces yet another heat advisory.

According to the National Weather Service, the high temperatures and intense humidity could drive the heat index up to 110 degrees in this area.

We're under a heat advisory until 8 p.m. tonight and a similar advisory is expected Saturday afternoon. There is a chance for slightly cooler temps as scattered storms move through the area.

As usual, wear light-weight clothes, drink a lot of water, and stay in the shade or indoors whenever possible.
