Heat Advisory Thursday in Lowcountry
Heat index at dangerous levels from noon until 8 p.m.
The heat is returning to the Lowcountry, with the National Weather Service issuing a heat advisory from noon until 8 p.m. today.
The NWS expects humidity and high temperatures to drive the heat index up to 110 degees today. The worst times are expected to be from this afternoon into early this evening.
Avoid strenuous activity this afternoon, wear loose fitting clothes and drink plenty of water, according to NWS.
