High School Football: Goose Creek Hosts North Augusta

UPDATE:

It's not just Black Friday this year — it's Black and Gold Friday.

The Goose Creek Gators will host North Augusta for the final round of post-season play before the AAAA Division II State Championship at Clemson's Memorial Stadium on Dec. 3.

Both teams are 12-1.

Last week's win against Northwestern was similar to what we've been seeing from the Gators all season: a 41-7 victory reflecting an impenetrable and aggressive defense and a solid offense.

North Augusta had a strong 46-20 win against South Florence last week, but its defense has had a more difficult time holding off touchdowns.

Friday's victor in Goose Creek will take on the winner between Greenwood (12-1) and Ashley Ridge (10-3).
