High School Football: Hanahan On TV

Thursday game leads off weekend.

Update:

The stakes are high for Hanahan in tonight's special Thursday event. A terrific month of four straight wins followed a terrible month of four straight losses. Now at 4-4, Hanahan is looking for the first signs of a winning season.

To add to the pressure: It will all be televised. MyTV Charleston's Thursday Night Lights will be airing the game against Stall (6-2) live beginning at 7:30 p.m. There's also a contest for this year's TNL teams, with the winning school getting a $2,500 grant. Go vote for Hanahan (or next week's team: Cane Bay).

Stratford is home again this week, hosting West Ashley. The 6-2 Knights have had a solid season, but expect some good football against the 4-4 Wildcats, who will be hungry for a win.

At 7-1, the Goose Creek is back on the road this week, heading East of the Cooper to take on Wando (5-3). The Gators have been running over the competition this season. Setting aside a hard-fought 52-51 loss to University earlier in the season, Goose Creek has outscored its opposition 324-24.
