Holiday Calendar: Parades, Fairs and Tree Lightings
Busy weekend as the holiday season gets a big welcome.

If Black Friday kicks off holiday shopping, the first weekend in December starts the holiday celebrating. Several big events in the community this weekend.
There are a lot of other events later in the season filling our calendar. Do you have an event coming up? Post it to the Goose Creek Patch calendar.
- begins Thursday, Dec. 1. Participants will make special seasonal art projects. Looking for another crafty idea? Home Depot in North Charleston will show kids at 9 a.m. Saturday.
- The City of Hanahan will hold its annual at 6 p.m. Friday at the municipal complex. School bands and choirs will perform.
- The will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, at Hanahan High School sponsored by the local Exchange Club. The route includes Murray Drive, Belvedere Drive, Loftis Road and Yeamans Hall Road.
- Santa will be stopping by Cypress Gardens for . The event begins at 10 a.m. with live music and kids crafts. Free admission for children 12 and under.
- The will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the city's community center. Local choir groups will perform, crafts will be on display, Santa will be available for pictures and there will be an area for children to make their own cookies and crafts.
