Philippians 2:19,20,24,25
I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, so that I also may be encouraged when I learn of your condition. For I have no one else of kindred spirit who will genuinely be concerned for your welfare. I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, who is also your messenger and minister.
Matthew 7:7

Philippians 3:14
Forget what [lies] behind and reach forward to what lies ahead. Press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
God is always throwing out lifelines to His children. He doesn’t want you to sink or to keep His answers from you. Just think: if you ask God specifically to show you what to do in any situation, why would He want to keep that a secret? But the trick is, you have to know where to look. God starts you right off with clue #1: “Hold fast to the word of life” (Philippians 2:16). The word of life is the Bible. That’s where you are going to find God’s “words,” so he can tangibly “speak” to you. Before you read a passage in the Bible, or whatever other inspirational literature you are using, think about whatever it is that you want to know. Then ask God to speak to you, using what you are reading. Keep reading until something hits you. That’s God…talking to you! Second, be on the lookout for your Timothy or your Epaphoditus. These are the people whom God will send to be your messenger and minister, to encourage, guide and help you. You aren’t alone. Just like with Timothy and Epaphoditus, back in Bible times, God is still in the blessing business. He continually sends people and messages but you will only recognize them if you keep an open heart with whomever you come in contact with you. They might not come in the package that you expected or hoped for. And finally, don’t look behind you. Your message isn’t coming from your past, from the way things were. Look up. Keep your eyes on the prize. Name it and claim it. Ask God what you want to know and believe He will send your answers. That attitude on a daily basis will help you deal with people and situations that could be tricky for you, because you just never know where your blessing will come from. But you can always be assured who sent it…the Master of the Universe…the One who knows your name.
