How To Move Away From The Darkness And Into God’s Perfect Place Of Peace

1 Thessalonians 5:8,9,11,13,14,15,21,24

But since we are of the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love. For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation. Therefore encourage one another, and build up one another, just as you also are doing. Live in peace with one another, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with all men.  See that no one repays another with evil for evil, but always seek after that which is good for one another and for all men. Hold fast to that which is good; Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.

Proverbs 2:7-15,22
He is a shield to those who walk in integrity and He preserves the way of His godly ones.  For wisdom will enter your heart, And knowledge will be pleasant to your soul; Discretion will guard you, Understanding will watch over you, To deliver you from the way of evil, From the man who speaks perverse things; From those who leave the paths of uprightness, To walk in the ways of darkness;  Who delight in doing evil, And rejoice in the perversity of evil; Whose paths are crooked, And who are devious in their ways;  But the wicked will be cut off from the land, And the treacherous will be uprooted from it.

When the day comes that a person or circumstance enters your life that is so “tricky” that every time you think about it or them you get the heebie jeebies and start feeling really agitated and anxious, stop! Recognize that your spirit is not at peace. God is throwing up red flags saying that person or circumstance is not what you want in your life.  On the other hand, Satan just loves when you are unsettled and off balance which is why he sends those negative forces of darkness in your world to begin with.  But here is the deal:  you can’t change those dark spirits. You can simply recognize them for what they are; stick your hand up and say right out loud, “No! I am not having it that way.  You are not going to steal my joy.”  Visualize yourself wearing a shield of faith and love which is God’s spirit that lives inside of you and is more powerful than anything Satan can send your way. It’s all in how you look at things.  Satan sends his agents of darkness, which are those cleverly disguised “things” in your world that discourage you and attempt to steal your peace.  So what can you do when Satan’s rain of darkness threatens to drench your spirit?  In addition to doing the “hand thing” and saying you aren’t having it that way, go one step further. Take control of those yucky things by using them to move you to a better place. When you aren’t at peace, then “it,” whatever “it” is, isn’t from God.  That’s Satan trying to discourage you, but more importantly, the stronger voice is God trying to move you.  Don’t be afraid.  God promises to deal with the dark spirits.  He promises that the “wicked will be cut off from the land.”  You just recognize them for what they are.  Satan meant them for “bad.”  You flip that around and rejoice because God has sent you a sign and signal to let you know it is time for you to exit the building and move forward.  This is what God wants for you. This is the way to peace.
