How To Ramp Up Your Faith And Feel Better All The Time

How To Ramp Up Your Faith And Feel Better All The Time

Hebrews 11:1, 2, 6

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the men of old gained approval. And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

Romans 9:15, 16, 17

For He says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."  So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy.  For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very purpose I raised you up, to demonstrate My power in you, and that My name might be proclaimed throughout the whole earth."

Romans 5:5
And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Everyone always talks about “faith.” “You’ve got to have faith when times are “tricky,” they say.  But what people don’t often tell you is: What is faith?  And more importantly: How do you “get” it?  The Bible tells us that faith is when you believe in something that you can’t see.  It’s like God; you can’t actually see Him or tangibly hear His voice.  You just have to have “faith” and believe that He is there, watching you, loving you. and if you ask Him to, directing your decisions and actions so that you get the best possible outcome, which is His “will” for your life.  And here’s the thing; He doesn’t do all of that because you are so wonderful.  He does it because He’s God and He’s chosen to show mercy on you.  And that is pretty unbelievable, because you know in your heart that you are so not deserving of this awesome love. That’s the first step of faith.  Even though you can’t see God, you just have to start saying to yourself and others, “I have faith.”  Do this even if you don’t really “feel” like you have faith; because the more you start defining yourself as a person of faith; a person who is trusting God to direct all of your outcomes, the more you will start to feel it.  This happens because feelings follow actions.  As you keep saying the words, “I am turning this problem or outcome over to God,” you will feel better because you are doing something. And God will reward that faith by guiding you in your decisions, to a place so wonderful, that you couldn’t have thought of it on your own.  He does this for two reasons: first when your prayers are answered, it demonstrates how powerful God is and serves as an example to others.  And secondly, God wants you to be in the best possible place because He loves you. So, the next time you are struggling with a decision or wondering what all this talk of faith is about, just keep saying to yourself and everyone else, “I have faith.  I’m going to let God guide me, because He knows best.” God promises not to let you down, and flood your soul with hope and comfort while you wait.  Just keep talking.
