I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers, because I hear of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all the saints; and I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in you for Christ's sake. For I have come to have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother. Yes, brother, let me benefit from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in Christ.

If you asked most any parent what they would like for people to say about their child, at the end of the day it would be that he or she had a kind and loving heart. And that’s what God, the ultimate parent of all parents wants from His children. He wants you to have love in your heart and treat others in a way that after they are with you, they feel better. Think of yourself as a breath mint in the midst of a yucky mouth. Once you are popped in there, everything gets better and brightens up! The breath that comes out is now sweeter, because you were there. Today, in all your conversations, ask yourself “Did I refresh the heart of the person I just spoke to? When they walked away, did they feel better? Did I reflect God’s love?” If the answer was yes, your heavenly Father is smiling and you have done your mission for this day.
