Gunn Wins GOP Primary for County Council Seat
No Democrat has filed in District 3.

Challenger Ken Gunn won the GOP Primary on Tuesday for Berkeley County Council District 3, defeating incumbent Bob Call. In the unofficial results, Gunn had 371 votes and Call had 265.
Gunn, a first-time candidate, ran on issues tied to property tax relief, including sharing fee revenues with the school district and using some sales tax revenues to reduce homeowner tax bills.

"I look forward to working as a true conservative on Berkeley County Council," Gunn told Patch on Tuesday night.
Gunn also challenged the county's decision to shutter a satellite office in Goose Creek and touted his support for the Berkeley County Republican Party agenda.

The Berkeley County Election Commission will certify the results Thursday. No Democrat will be on the ballot in November.
