Proverbs 3:23-26
Then you will walk in your way securely, And your foot will not stumble. When you lie down, you will not be afraid; When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Do not be afraid of sudden fear, Nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes; For the LORD will be your confidence, And will keep your foot from being caught.
Mark 6:48-52
And seeing them straining at the oars, for the wind was against them, at about the fourth watch of the night, He came to them, walking on the sea; and He intended to pass by them. But when they saw Him walking on the sea, they supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out; for they all saw Him and were frightened. But immediately He spoke with them and said to them, "Take courage; it is I, do not be afraid." And He got into the boat with them, and the wind stopped; and they were greatly astonished.

John 14:27
"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
There will always be tricky things that happen in your life. Things that come up quickly and unexpectedly; things you can’t control that wake you up in the middle of the night with that sick, anxious feeling. But God doesn’t want you to be anxious. He knows that when you are scared, you can’t concentrate on doing what you are supposed to do because you are to busy thinking about what is bothering you. And so today God whispers, “Don’t be afraid, I am with you. You won’t stumble.” Likewise, so many years ago, when the apostles were at sea and the water started kicking up, Jesus told them not to be afraid. He walked on the water and got in the boat with them. And just as Jesus walked on the water in order to get to them, He is right there, waiting to get inside your boat with you. Whatever is your issue, cast your fear on Him, because He knows your name and cares for you. Ask Him to handle your tricky situation and to flood your anxious heart with peace. Ask God to soothe your spirit with His peace so that you can operate in this world the way He would want you to, so that your ministry doesn’t “sink” just because a strong and sudden wind has blown your way. This day, whatever it is that is making your stomach anxious, give that situation over to God by asking Him to handle it and to fill your spirit with peace. He promises that you will not stumble, you will not sink. Have faith in the unseen. Have faith that the Creator of all the seas is holding your hand and will see you through your storm.
