Jaquan Marsh Signs With Brevard

Goose Creek quarterback Jaquan Marsh will be crossing the state line in the fall, heading to North Carolina's Brevard College.

Marsh signed with the school's football program during Wednesday's National Signing Day events.

Marsh ranked eighth in the MaxPreps' state rankings for passing and rushing.

"It's a new chapter in college," Marsh said after the signing. He noted the coaches sold him on the Brevard program. "It felt like it did here."

The Tornadoes' starting quarterback, senior Aaron Reese, finished his college career with Brevard in the fall.

Brevard head coach Paul Hamilton tells Patch he's excited to bring Marsh into the quarterback program.

"He's such a great young man, on and off the field," Hamilton said.
