Jets Star Weighs In On Stun Gun Incident

Latest on Moncks Corner man's stadium assault charges.

New York Jets wide receiver Derrick Mason told ESPN he was surprised at the news of the Sept. 11 stun gun incident in the stands.

"How did he get in the stadium with it?" Mason said. "Especially on that day, that's a lack of attention to detail. That's shocking that something like that happened, that they allowed that inside the stadium."

Moncks Corner resident Leroy McKelvey, 59, with three counts of aggravated assault and two weapons charges. He was released on $22,500 bail.

McKelvey, a Cowboys fan, from angry Jets fans.

The New York Daily News also notes today that, contrary to previous reports, McKelvey wasn't using a Taser brand stun gun.
