JROTC Cadet Receives Medal for Academic Excellence

General Marion's Brigade Chapter, NSDAR presented the JROTC DAR Medal to Cadet Staff Sergeant Lilly Hodges at Hanahan High School earlier this month. The medal and certificate were presented at the Hanahan Military Ball by Mrs. Elizabeth Patterson.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution awards the JROTCDAR Medal to students who have demonstrated academic excellence, dependability, good character, adherence to military discipline, leadership, and a fundamental and patriotic understanding of the importance of the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps. 

General Marion's Brigade is the DAR chapter in Berkeley County. The chapter awards JROTC medals at all seven high schools in the county.
