Knife Pulled in U.S. 52 Road Rage Incident

Both drivers may face charges in early-morning fight.

A Bonneau man allegedly wielded a knife in a road rage incident Monday morning, cutting the other driver in the hand, according to Goose Creek Police.

Rodney Castleberry, 49, is expected to face a charge of 2nd degree assault and battery. The other driver, 41-year-old Scott Miller of Moncks Corner, was transported to Trident Medical Center. Police are considering charges against Miller.

According to police, the two drivers were travelling from the Moncks Corner down U.S. 52 and "had engaged in mutual acts of road rage." At the intersection with Old Mt. Holly Road, the two drivers got out of their vehicles to confront each other.

During the fight, Castleberry allegedly pulled out a knife and Miller's left hand was cut in the struggle.

Goose Creek Police have not identified any independent witnesses at this point and asks anyone who saw the incident contact Investigator Powell at 843-863-5200, ext. 356.
