
The post-season has been very exciting for our local teams. Goose Creek, Hanahan and Cane Bay baseball teams all made tournament berths. And softball squads at Goose Creek, Stratford, Hanahan and Cane Bay each got District Tournament play.
In the end it was the Hanahan Hawks that earned slots in both Lower State tournaments. On Monday, the softball team beat Dillon, 5-3, earning a spot in the Lower State championship game. The baseball team lost to Bishop England, 5-6.

- On Wednesday, Hanahan's baseball team will host Dillon in an elimination game in the Lower State tournament. If the Hawks win, they'll get another shot at Bishop England on Friday in the Lower State title game.
- The softball team has a few days off to prepare for the Lower State championship game at Hanahan on Friday. They'll take on the winner in Wednesday's game between Andrews and Dillon.
- The Lower State champions will host game one of the state title series on Monday. From there, the series moves to the Upper State champion's home field. If a third game is necessary, it'll be at a neutral location.
