Last Chance for Market Street Saloon

North Charleston wants noise solution for Northwoods site.

The Market Street Saloon in North Charleston will be looking a little less like a saloon under a proposed agreement penned to get its business license back in order.

Owner Sam Mustafa's first site on the Charleston peninsula is well-known to the rowdy crowd looking for rock anthems and women dancing on the bar.

After the North Charleston business license was suspended last month, it appears success at the second location is going to have to come with a different formula, according to a Post and Courier report.

North Charleston officials released information on a proposed settlement agreement from the club that included a concession to convert it to a restaurant in the next 120 days.

The Post and Courier has more on the bar's troubles, including noise complaints from the neighbors, as well as stipulations of the proposed deal.
