Let God Deal With The Wild Beasts (He’s Had Practice)

Psalm 37:23,24

The steps of a man are established by the LORD; And He delights in his way. When he falls, he shall not be hurled headlong; Because the LORD is the One who holds his hand.

Mark 1:12,13
And immediately the Spirit impelled Him [to] [go] out into the wilderness. And He was in the wilderness forty days being tempted by Satan; and He was with the wild beasts, and the angels were ministering to Him.

Proverbs 4:25-27
Let your eyes look directly ahead, And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Watch the path of your feet, And all your ways will be established.  Do not turn to the right nor to the left; Turn your foot from evil.

Isaiah 30:21
And your ears will hear a word behind you, "This is the way, walk in it."

Are you with some wild beasts today?  Are there people or circumstances in your world that are wildly frustrating to you?  Well, guess what?  You aren’t alone.  Jesus had His own wild beasts.  Those difficult people and circumstances are just cleverly disguised agents of Satan attempting to steal your joy and peace.  But Jesus got out of the wilderness and so can you. Here’s how:  First, turn that anxiety producing situation over to God.  Tell Him to handle it and manipulate the situation in the way it is supposed to be.  Note:  that would be God’s way. The result might not be the way that you have seen it in your mind’s eye, but if you have turned it over to the Master, it will be in the best way, the way that will allow your peace to return to you.  Once you have turned over your problem or issue to God, don’t take it back.  God says not to look to the right or the left, because all around you are going to be those wild beasts, the agents of Satan, the things that are upsetting you. Just keep your eyes fixed on Him.  Keep repeating to yourself the verse from Matthew 6:31, “Don’t be anxious (about what you are going to do,) but seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all those things will be added unto you.”  That just means rather than worrying so hard about what you should do, ask God to work it so the result is what He wants to happen. And why wouldn’t He do that?  He wants you to be at peace, so that you can get on with your mission of glorifying Him.  He didn’t want the beasts to get Jesus and He doesn’t want them to get you.  So the next time you are wrestling with the devil or the things that cause you distress, turn the specific problem over to God and listen very carefully to the still voice behind you, saying “This is the way, walk in it.”
