Lion's Club Provides Hearing, Vision Screenings at Marrington Elementary

Members of the Lion's Club and participants in Marrington Elementary's Parent Teacher Organization recently conducted hearing and vision screenings for students in the third through fifth grades. School nurse Susan Murray helped set up this partnership opportunity. Throughout the year, Lion's Club volunteers conduct these types of screenings free-of-charge throughout Berkeley County. Nationally, this service has resulted in Lion's Club members being referred to as "Knights for the Blind." —Berkeley County School District
