Local Man Held in Florida After Gun Found

Report: Discovery at bus terminal led to 9-hour search.

The Orange County Police Department is currently holding a Goose Creek man after a stand-off in a Flordia bus station and a nine-hour search of nearby woods, according to a report by Orlando's WESH.

Dandre Lamon Wood, 23, of Broken Branch Drive, has been charged with attempting to resist an officer without violence and carrying a concealed weapon.

According to WESH, Wood was asked to leave a bus at an Orlando terminal and security found a gun in his bag.

At least one of the officers shot at Wood after he reached for his waistband, police said.

Investigators searched the nearby woods until they found and arrested Wood at about 7:20 a.m. Sunday, according to police.
