Marrington Students Read Dear Levi
Gifted and talented class builds covered wagon in study of pioneer book.

Marrington Elementary's fifth grade gifted and talented class recently completed a unit exploring westward expansion through novel study and incorporating the arts. The students in Jann Nutt’s class delved into Dear Levi, a book about pioneer travels. They then brought their lessons to life by constructing a covered wagon complete with all the articles that would have been necessary for the long journey westward. —Berkeley County School District
