
It's two in a row for Baltimore Orioles catcher Matt Wieters. The Stratford High grad will be a member of the American League's MLB All-Star team July 10 in Kansas City.
While the Orioles have struggled through the past few weeks, it's been a strong year for the team. Wieters has been one of leaders on and off the field as the O's stay in the running for a post-season slot.

Last year, Wieters was the  picked for the American League squad. This year, he'll be joined by two teammates: Adam Jones and Jim Johnson.
The Baltimore Sun noted Wieters likley earned the nod for a strong performance behind the plate, respectable number at the plate and his "tough-but-likeable demeanor."
