Mayor Heitzler Hosts The Oaks Town Meeting Tonight

Goose Creek Mayor Michael Heitzler will be welcoming residents of The Oaks to City Hall on Thursday night to discuss the city's strategic plan and hear from residents about their concerns and priorities for the municipality.

Participants are asked to rate the goals the city has established.

The city's current goals and objectives include:

• Develop a Facilities/Infrastructure Plan for Future Growth (Substations)
• Advance Road Improvement Plan
• Define Recreation Functions
• Continue Interaction with Others-Create Economic Development Plan
• Develop Hiker/Biker Trail System
• Consolidate Greater Goose Creek Area
• Safeguard Physical and Environmental Resources-Expand Water System
• Develop Long-Term Plan for Golf Course
• Explore Opportunities to Redevelop Housing

The mayor regularly holds these meetings with one or two communities at a time. Residents of The Oaks community have been invited, but the public is also welcome to attend.
