Mayor Proclaims April 28 "Day of Service"

Goose Creek Mayor Michael Heitzler signed a proclamation declaring April 28 "Day of Service" in the City of Goose Creek. The "Day of Service" is sponsored and organized by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in cooperation with other religious and humanitarian organizations.

Mayor Heitzler met with representatives of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Crowfield Ward) to sign the proclamation, which brings together churches, civic, humanitarian and government agencies.

The goal is to strengthen local communities through meaningful service projects that will beautify the community, build friendships and bolster the spirits of those who serve and those being served.
