Moncks Corner Man Dies in Tractor Accident

Coroner: Man lost control of farm equipment late Saturday.

A Moncks Corner man died in a tractor accident late Saturday, according to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury.

Richard Watson Murray, 41, was driving the tractor at 11:30 p.m. when he reportedly lost control and ran into a farm pond, Salisbury said in a statement.

Murray was ejected from the tractor before it went into the water and was found about 30 minutes later by his friends.

Salisbury said that Murray was pronounced dead at the scene, with the cause of death listed as head trauma. The death has been ruled accidental.
