Mr. Flaps Pawn Shop Closing

Mr. Flap's Pawn Shop is expected to close its doors this week. It's not clear yet whether owner Mary Sanders will will reopen the business in another location.

Signs on the side of the building are advertising a closing sale, noting the pawn shop's 30 years in operation.

Property owner Lillian Irwin told Patch that she doesn't know yet what she will do with the property.

The site includes three lots along North Goose Creek Boulevard between several fast food chains and a small shopping center and gas station — likely making it attractive for retail redevelopment.  

Sanders' daughter, Felicia Sanders Smith, made headlines last year for her , which included a last July.
