Neighbors Help Recovering Assault Victim

Live 5 News reports on good neighbors helping out the victim of a violent assault last month.

The woman's ex-boyfriend, Steven Morgan, is accused of breaking into her Crystal Street home early Jan. 29 and violently assaulting her. Police found the victim seriously beaten hours later. She had been tied up and freed herself after Morgan fled the home.

The victim is still recovering from her wounds and neighbors stopped by to help with yard work.

Captured in Georgia, Morgan is being held at the Berkeley County detention center on charges of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, first degree criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping and burglary.
