New Fraudulent Check Claim Against Mechanic

Man tells Goose Creek Police he received a bad check from Christopher Albert Felber.

The Goose Creek Police department received a complaint about a mechanic who allegedly wrote a bad check — but, by that time, the suspect had already been held for three days on other fraudulent check charges.

Christopher Albert Felber, 23, is currently being held at Hill-Finklea Detention Center by the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office. to his landlord and a former client looking for payment for damage to his vehicle.

The investigation continues regarding other claims of fraud related to Felber's now-shuttered Howe Hall Road shop, European Motorsports.

On July 26 — three days after Felber was arrested — a Goose Creek man told police that he thought Felber had made good on a six-month old loan after he received a $9,500 check on July 9.

It wasn't until weeks later that his bank allegedly told him that the check had been written off of a closed account.
