Obituary: Beverly Russell, Cosmetologist, 16-Year Goose Creek Resident

Beverly "Bunnie" Russell, 71, of Goose Creek, wife to Donald C. Russell Sr., entered into eternal rest November 3, 2012, after a long battle with cancer, at her home surrounded by family.

Born August 16, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Clementina E. Fantasia. She was raised in Arlington, Mass., and graduated from Arlington High School in 1959. Beverly was a licensed cosmetologist and taught all aspects of the trade at Wilfred Academy in Boston. She owned and operated her own business, Easton House of Beauty from 1975 to 1986, when her family moved to Goose Creek.

Bunnie's favorite pastimes were swimming in her pool, gardening, crocheting and ceramics. She loved volunteering at the bread basket and she loved gatherings with her children and grandchildren at her home in Goose Creek. 

Bunnie is survived by her husband of forty three years, Donald C. Russell Sr., and will be sadly missed by her daughters, Lisa M. Watts of Goose Creek, Robyn L. Chandler of Goose Creek, Kathryn E. Tosh and husband David of Summerville; son, Donald C. Russell Jr. of Hendersonville, N.C.; grandchildren, Krystal Gately, Joshua LaVigne and Justine T. Watts; sister Anne Ferry and husband William of Hyannis, Mass., and Michael LaVigne, a close family friend. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Russell was predeceased by her parents and sister Regina Andrews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at noon in Cathedral of Praise Church.
