Charles Franklin Janes, Jr., 73, of Summerville, passed away Oct. 4, 2012.
Born in Tacoma, Wash., he was the son of the late Charles F. and Dorothy Knight Janes. Charles enjoyed fishing, working and growing flowers in his yard and motorcycles. He worked at the Charleston Shipyard for many years and also worked as a mechanic and in the pest control industry.Â
He is survived by his companion, Linda Barrs of Summerville; three sons, Jamie Janes of Moncks Corner, Jesse Janes and Justin Janes both of Florence; three daughters, Tammy Brown of Hanahan, Shannon Whaley of Goose Creek and Rachel Weaver of Hanahan; two sisters, Charlene of California and Loraine of Washington; two brothers, Dennis and Patrick of Washington. Charles is also survived by 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
