Obituary: Francisco Serrano, Army Specialist, Goose Creek Grad

Francisco Tito Serrano Jr., 21, of Goose Creek, passed away Nov. 4, 2012.
Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of Francisco Serrano and Melissa R. Serrano and Scott Greene. Growing up he participated in the Lowcountry Young Marines and Civil Air Patrol. He graduated from Goose Creek High School where he was involved with JROTC. After graduation Francisco joined the United States Army and served in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.Â
He is survived by his mother and step father, Melissa R. Serrano and Scott Greene of Goose Creek; father, Francisco Serrano of Charlotte, NC; brother, Christopher Serrano of Fort Bliss, Texas; grandparents, Ed and Bobbie Greene of Goose Creek and Carmen and Raymond Ruiz of New York; two uncles, Chris Greene of Goose Creek and Hector Rivera of New York; aunt, Honeysue Rivera-Barci of New York.

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at noon in McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 869 St. James Avenue.
The family will receive friends prior to service from 10 a.m. until noon in the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner.
