
Glenn A. Rhoad, 67, of Moncks Corner, husband to Betty Rhoad, passed away September 12, 2012.
Born in Ruffin, he was the son of the late Richard and Evelyn Steedley Rhoad. Glenn retired as the Berkeley County Coroner and also retired from the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office after 29 years of service. He was the Co-Founder and board member for the Roscoe Reading Program, founder and volunteer with Pimlico Fire Department, former board member for Berkeley Senior Citizens Board and a member of the Berkeley Republican Committee. Glenn was a faithful member to Midway Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Cribb Rhoad, three daughters, Jennifer Desmond and husband Michael of Moncks Corner, Stacey Platt of Hanahan and Crystal Rhoad of Moncks Corner, two brothers, Wilson Eugene Rhoad and wife Brenda of West Ashley and George T. Rhoad of Moncks Corner. Glenn is also survived by his three grandchildren, Matthew, Mason and Thomas.

Services were held Friday in McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel, with burial in Plantation Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner.
